NOTES
I was told many years ago to write the truth, be true to myself, and find my voice. I must say I didn't really understand these words at that point of my life. However, over time there has been many trash cans filled with paper-balls trying to become a song. I have spent many hours playing the same melody over and over because there was something about it that kept me wanting to "dig". I now know what that man was trying to tell me.

As I have matured, I feel my music is a good statement of who I am. For instance, "Nature Boy". A twisty song about my connection with the Great out-doors. "Mr. Brakeman", a song about Jimmie Rodgers" who opened the world up to Radio and planted the seed for many songwriters such as myself. "On The Front Porch", a testimony of struggles and joy a family goes through in the name of Love. The songs I write are not made-up, I have lived them. The characters I write about are people I know and love, yet you will know them too. "Penny Sue"

This record "Nature Boy", was recorded by Joe V. McMahan. Joe takes great pride in his work as you will find while listening to this record. Put on a set of headphones and turn it up! Also Joe was responsible for the cool slide hook on "For Me". He hears things like that. Along with the talents of Paul Griffith on Drums, and David Jacques on Bass this record was born over 3 cold December days in Nashville, Tn . I am Proud!
